Responsibilities
- Ensure that all mechanical work, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems, complies with the project specifications, codes, standards, and quality requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical installations to ensure adherence to design, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement inspection and test plans (ITPs) for mechanical systems.
- Supervise and conduct on-site tests, inspections, and quality checks for all mechanical materials and installations.
- Document any deficiencies and work with the construction team to implement corrective actions.
- Verify that all materials delivered and used on-site meet the specified quality and standard requirements.
- Review material certificates, supplier quality documents, and approve materials for use in line with the project’s specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and quality control logs.
- Prepare regular quality reports and ensure documentation is readily available for audits and project handover.
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate quality-related activities.
- Provide technical guidance to the construction team on quality standards and corrective actions.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with site safety protocols and relevant environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and other safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in quality control procedures and contribute to the implementation of best practices in quality management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Over 6 years past experience in the same position
